Back in the 1980s, my brother used to live with me in Lubbock. We used to patronize a frat boy/biker bar near the Texas Tech campus. The place featured this big, bearded bear of a singer. (Another friend said he was featured in a Playboy story on a Willie Fourth of July Picnic.)
The singer was a folkie of sorts. I requested “Don’t Think Twice,” and he played it even though he had performed the song earlier in the set which I had missed.
