We have been employing the economic theories of Milton Friedman and the Chicago Boys for forty plus years.
Those theories and the economic policies they spawned are called Neo-liberalism and they have enriched the already wealthy and decimated the middle-class.
Neo-liberal economics has created massive wealth inequality and has consolidated wealth in the hands of a very few.
The latest victims of Neo-liberalisms failed economic policies are Chile and Lebanon.
Both countries are currently in open revolt against their corrupt governments and the corrupt oligarchs who prop them up.
It looks like Pennsylvania may have finally had enough and is moving in the direction of far less Neo-liberalism and far more FDR socialism.
