I call bullshit. How many times’ have we already “killed” this guy.
Erdogan wanted this guy gone so he and the Russians gifted this operation to Trump as payment for playing along in the Turkish incursion. Quid pro quo.
“We might have to fight for the oil,” Trump said on Saturday.
For years people have been claiming that the wars in the Middle East were all about oil and Israel.
“Our troops are leaving Syria,” both Trump and Pence said.
Those statements were followed by warmongers in both political parties howling and stomping their feet in protest.
On Friday Trump said, “We’ve secured the oil, and, therefore, a small number of US troops (along with their tanks and heavy artillery) will remain in the area where they have the oil (Syria). And we’re going to be protecting it, and we’ll be deciding what we’re going to do with it in the future.”
Add to all of that the fact that Trump has rented several thousand US troops to Saudi Arabia (they pay cash) to protect their oil fields and it becomes perfectly clear that the wars in the ME are all about oil.
Is there any doubt in anyone’s mind that US troops are also in the Middle East to protect the Israelis?
Any Democrat or Republican who supports our continued military support in the ME is a warmonger protecting the oil and Israel and not the American people.
We need to end our military involvement in the ME completely and immediately withdraw our support for the barbaric Saudi war against the people of Yemen.
