The National Health Service (NHS) is England’s version of Medicare for All and it is the most beloved institution in that country.
The NHS has become a political issue in Thursdays British election.
The Conservative Party’s PM Boris Johnson has been accused of being opened to trading away the NHS for a favorable trade agreement with Trump.
Boris has denied the charges even in the face of a recently released 300+ page report written by the Conservative Party which indicates otherwise.
US pharmaceutical companies want a big piece of England’s price-controlled drug industry and want Boris to get rid of England’s Drug Price-Control Board in exchange for a favorable trade agreement.
Capitalist Conservatives (Federalists) do not want a Medicare For All system in the US and they present us with various reasons why we can’t afford Medicare For All.
Millions of Americans (about 14%) don’t receive medical care, ever, because they can’t afford it.
In England only 2% of the population is without care and that’s by choice. The other 98% love the NHS.
The US health care system is the most expensive health care system in the world today and by a factor of two.
Medicare For All would be less expensive and allow for more participation then our current system does and that will make all Americans healthier.
We can’t afford not to have Medicare for All.
