In May I argued that the press will get swept up in Trump's chaos agenda if it does not have a clear agenda of its own. My post makes several suggestions for what that agenda could be. "Fighting authoritarianism and the subversion of democracy" was one. https://t.co/XJbFEABaBu

“These protesters, many should be arrested because these are professional agitators, these are professional anarchists.
These are people who hate our country.
We are telling them right now that we are coming in very soon.
The National Guard.
A lot of very tough people.
These are not people that just have to guard the (Portland) courthouse and save it.
These are people who are allowed to go forward and do what they have to do.”
Trump said that yesterday at his news conference and not a single news network commented about it.
The Department of Homeland Security created intelligence documents on two reporters covering the events in Portland, according to today’s Washington Post.
“Reports were produced under pre-established classified intelligence reporting requirements that are developed through a rigorous process to include legal intelligence oversight guidelines,” claimed a DHS spokesperson.
It would appear that the ‘acting’ director of DHS, Chad Wolf, has set up a brand new COINTELPRO (1956-1971) operation to spy on American “agitators,” “anarchists” and “people who hate our country.” (This means you Democrats!)
