If Joe were truly concerned about the mental and psychical welfare of our veterans then he would stop supporting costly, illegal and criminal wars all over the globe.
The trauma and death suffered by our veterans are a result of these wars.

None of the wars started after WWII were “necessary” wars. Not a single one.
Korea, Vietnam, Central and South America, Afghanistan, Iraq I, Syria, and Iraq II were all “wars of choice.”
Wealthy oligarchs wanted them, plutocratic presidents supported them, and successive congresses funded them.
For profit, power, and war profits.
When the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer year after year for 75 years then there must be “suckers” and “losers” somewhere in the mix.
Trillions of dollars have been spent and tens of thousands of our children have been either wounded or killed in these “wars of choice” and to what end?
To be made “suckers” of?
Trump has spent $2 trillion dollars, which congress authorized, to purchase the military’s permission to be used as theatrical props.

Every Democratic president since the death of FDR has likewise used the military, and the wars that they fight in, as political props.
Let’s hope that Joe Biden doesn’t follow in the footsteps of his Neo-liberal predecessors after he takes office on January 20, by starting a “war of choice” with Iran.
Instead, let’s hope that he ends the costly and pointless “long-wars of choice” in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Yemen instead.
