Are the Democrats doing an election post-mortem yet?
The Republicans are skipping theirs because they’re too busy fighting with each other.
Broadly speaking, if Biden had been running against anyone other than Trump he would have lost.
Democratic messaging, Covid instead of economics, won Trump Black and Latino votes that should have gone to the Democrats.
Democrats allowed the Republicans to tell a river of lies about socialism, defunding the police, and what it means to be a patriot without really fighting back.
First…..enough already with the Covid and all those bodies stacking up like cordwood.
Everybody gets it. Trump lost. So let’s move on.
Beyond that, the Democratic House made a very, poor showing.
The Democratic Senate, on the other hand, may yet accomplish what nobody thought was possible and they can do it on January 5. (Go Georgia Democrats!)
The difference between the results in the House and in the Senate has to do with math and bad messaging.
One of the primary reasons so many Blacks and Latinos voted for Trump was his economic message.
Medicare For All, a living wage, an affordable, debt free education, and job security are all economic issues that should have been pushed by the Democrats and weren’t.
If the Democratic Party can’t figure out how to combat the Republican lies, voter suppression, and violent propaganda it’s because it’s not in their own political self-interest to do so.
