The next threat to democracy

DeSantis is the true believer Trump only pretended to be:

  1. DeSantis is a not very bright Christofascist. His brand of conservative politics will sell well in the racist, white supremacist South, but will fall flat everywhere north of the Mason-Dixon line, and west of the Mississippi.

But DeSantis isn’t the greatest threat to democracy today. That honor goes to the silly and dangerous policies of one Joe Biden.

Yesterday the World Bank sharply downgraded its outlook for the world economy citing the war in Ukraine as the reason.
The growth in most countries was slashed by +-3%. From 5.7% to 2.5% in the US.

The world needs to stop burning oil and transition to green fuels.
But, at the moment, the world needs more oil on the market to maintain its industrial and human needs.

Joe Biden is willing to buy oil from, and even meet, with the murdering scumbag in Saudi Arabia, but he’s unwilling to buy oil from some other somewhat less questionable regimes like Venezuela and Iran?

As a consequence, VP Harris, who can’t catch a break, will be presiding over the burlesque show in Los Angeles where the Summit of the Americas will meet this week.
Because the US wouldn’t allow Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela (huge oil deposits) to attend the meeting, Mexico (huge oil deposits), Guatemala and Honduras–the only leaders that Harris has met–refused to attend the meeting in protest.

From the very beginning Joe Biden’s policies, especially his foreign policies have been outrageously dangerous and dumb. (SS Blinken?)
Whoever Joe refuses to buy oil from will sell it to China.

Note: The wealth gap today between Black Americans and White Americans is the worst that it’s been in 160 years.
Black Americans own only 1/6 of the wealth that White Americans own.
The last time that that was true was in 1862 when the Civil War was raging, and slaves hadn’t been freed yet.
