The public has been frustrated and confused by the conflicting, constantly changing guidance from the CDC. Biden’s advice that “COVID is over…” is a major contributor to the stupidity.
COVID is airborne, full stop. But the CDC resisted this scientifically proven fact that points to the importance of proper masking, and significant improvement of indoor ventilation and air filtration. Downplaying long COVID is another US gov theme.
In the end the PTB decided the economy was more important than public health and that the death of hundreds of thousands of US citizens every year by COVID’s continually evolving variants was of little consequence.
And in the meantime they destroyed the whole concept of public health.
It’s infuriating that Biden said he wouldn’t politicize covid. Bullshit.
