The likely truth

  1. Agree that “…Israel would have no reason to conduct the attack the day before Biden came…. (and) …other regional actors would have reason.” The video is impressive, but interpreting it is way beyond my pay grade. I’m not yet convinced of Rosenberg’s implied conclusion.

Main US MSM is slavishly supportive of Biden and historically have “taken dictation” from Depts of State and Defense on foreign and “defense” policy. I haven’t believed anything in WAPO, NYT, AP, et. al. without independent verification since Viet Nam.

World press is more equivocal and there is an active debate. Even CNN’s Clarissa Ward, …says PIJ rockets wouldn’t cause this much damage, and notes that the IDF has lied before. UK’s Channel 4 News adds to the surprising amount of opposition we’re seeing in the mainstream press to Israel’s narrative: “Several experts confirm …that the audio tape of “Hamas” operatives talking about the missile malfunction is a fake . They say the tone, syntax, accent and idiom are absurd.”

Of course, the fact that Israel’s “evidence” is, ah, questionable, doesn’t mean they did it. They have a history and reflexive practice of lying to the public that is as well established as the US does.

Sort of like the Nord Stream bombing. Baltic Sea fairies probably did it. Misinformation has become a high art form.
