Yes, she’s going to win

And it’s going to be big. There will be fuckery, but she will win.

I told you the polling was crap, and it was. On Saturday night, Ann Selzer’s Des Moines Register poll (pretty much the gold standard) came out, and it showed Kamala three points ahead — in Iowa.

Oh, the moaning and gnashing of teeth from the polling class! How could she be right? Simple: She didn’t oversample Republicans for a surprise Trump win, which is what pollsters have been doing since 2016 — and getting it wrong, anyway.

Here, read Marcy.

It’s independent women and senior women that are making the difference for Kamala. Because we remember what it was like when abortion was illegal, and we’re not going back.

  1. Framing abortion as a health issue (which is one of the many things it is, no question about that) is what has the poor guys confused.

I mean, who changes their vote because they can’t get antibiotics to beat back pneumonia, amirite?

What women try not to say too loud, so as not to frighten the poor guys, is it’s a Control Of Your Own Damn Body issue. That’s a slavery issue. Then it’s a bit less surprising women care so much. (Men should too, for God’s sake.)

(Chattel slavery itself also had a large health issue component. It’s kind of ridiculous to think in those terms, though, when you see it for what it is.)
