“It doesn’t feel to me there was any interagency process” in deciding to pull out.
“I’m not sure even the principles knew,” referring to agency heads, adding Trump just “woke up” and did it

Where were you when he shut down the Syria refugee program?
Where were you when he withdrew from the Syria diplomatic process?
Where were you when he froze emergency aid to Syria?
At this very moment, Kurdish fighters are engaged in a fierce battle for the last stretch of land under Isis control. Hundreds have been killed, and it's not yet over. They are likely hearing the news that US is withdrawing now. Surreal. https://t.co/TiaTqeaLiZ

Pentagon officials tried to talk Trump out of it, arguing that the withdrawal betray Kurdish allies who fought alongside US troops in Syria. Trump has done the right thing for the US in Syria.
> The rise of ISIS was a direct result of the US invasion of Iraq.
> ISIS has been defeated. They now occupy less then 1% of the land that they held when they were at their peak and 70,000 of them have been killed.
> ISIS is an immediate threat to Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Russia. They are not a threat to the US. ISIS is a Sunni group owing its allegiance to the Wahhabists in Saudi Arabia.
> The US is an uninvited guest in Syria.
> The Kurds want an independent state made up of large chunks of land now under the control of Turkey, Syria, Iran and Iraq. That’s a nonstarter for the countries involved.
> The warmongers and their paymasters in the military industrial complex want to assist the Kurds in setting up their state by keeping 2600 US troops on the ground in Syria for “as long as it takes.”
! That is crazy, nuts and the fantasy of lunatics. !
Because it’s in their own self-interest to do so, and it’s in their own neighborhood, Syria, Iran, Turkey, Iraq and Russia will take care of what’s left of ISIS.
You know that you’ve done the right thing, and that you’re on the road to peace when the warmongers start running around with their hair on fire screaming “appeasement.”
Pulling out of Syria should be immediately followed by ending America’s longest war in Afghanistan and ending the brutal war in Yemen.
Screw the warmongers.
