Reports of sexual assault at University of Michigan on the rise

The Office for Institutional Equity at the University of Michigan keeps reports of violence reported by their students. According to a report that came out in early September, claims of sexual assault and sexual harassment at the school have increased by 62 percent.

In addition to sexual assault and sexual harassment, the OIE has also reported that claims of intimate partner violence have also increased. Reports of stalking on the other hand, have fallen. Gender-based harassment and other violent incidents have also decreased during the same period of time.

There were a total of 277 reports of prohibited conduct. Of those, 148 involved sexual assault while 85 reported sexual harassment of some kind. Stalking incidences were involved in 26 of the reports, while gender-based violent offenses only accounted for four.

However, the totals may not represent what is actually happening on and off campus. The OIE stated in their report that 102 of the reports were not considered to be misconduct under the university’s definition of misconduct. That left 175 reports for the school to investigate and they closed 152 of those reports until more information can be provided.

“Our country has made great strides in protecting the rights of women, and all individuals, against sexual abuse and harassment,” says Patrick Barone of the Barone Defense Firm. “But it is also important to note that movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp may have led some to mistakenly believe they were sexually assaulted when they were not. We need to ensure all accused a fair trial.”

The university admits that may be true. In a statement made to a local news network, the school stated that they have been increasing their awareness, prevention, and education efforts towards both faculty members and students as it pertains to sexual misconduct. The school also stated that the current movements around the country most likely contributed to the increase in reports of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

The fact that other incidents, such as stalking and gender-related violence, have gone down during the same period may corroborate the fact that many are being wrongfully accused of this type of behavior.

Listen to this crap

If you guessed that Trump was the real victim of the Pittsburgh terror shooting. you win! And the country loses. Watch this hypocritical “Christian” slag spew Trump’s victimhood:

I expect to see more like this

And thank God for that:

Of course, secular laws are perfectly okay when they want to impose religious laws on secular citizens….
