Pulling Away

As we head into the home stretch, I think we have an emerging winner for the worst scum-sucking Republican robo-call (and God knows, it’s a crowded field). And it’s from Philadelphia:
The recorded voice was that of a distraught, tearful woman.
“I had an abortion performed on me,†the woman said in a shaky voice, adding that she wanted to tell “the truth about Allyson Schwartz.â€
“The truth is that 18 lawsuits have been filed against Miss Allyson Schwartz’s clinic, including assault, battery, negligence, perforated bowels and uteruses,†the woman said, “and even abortions performed without consent of her patients. [...]
The call was paid for by Republican congressional candidate Raj Peter Bhakta, who is running against U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz. [...]
“There’s no elegant way, no soft way to convey the facts of the matter,†Bhakta said. “People have a right to know about the lawsuits alleging assault, battery, and abortions performed without permission.â€

When that guy Raj was on The Apprentice a few years ago he made my skin crawl. He was such a deviant misogynist. He didn’t take one of those women seriously and that, ultimately, was his downfall.
The guy’s a showboater, no substance. I know nothing about him except for elephants and mariachi bands. He campaigned like he was still on the show.
