Do you fucking believe this?
Apparently the hiring criteria has to do with being radically, tragically and consistently wrong. Oh yeah, and making sure a major conservative strategist and hit man has a bully pulpit for when the Democrats take control.
Do you think boneheaded decisions like this might have something to do with their declining circulation?

I think it has everything to do with the role of modern media as a platform for corporations to ‘launch the propaganda’. It’s obvious that reversing declining readership, viewership and listeners is nowhere in the equation. What’s the term in marketing? Loss leader?
i think the Times needs to be shamed over this one. we need to start a massive letter writing campaign, and attack in the comments after every kristol column, the same way the trolls hit Attytood.
just hit it over and over until it’s unreadable.
You know what, Brendan? I’m in total agreement. This is unacceptable. One fucking neocon shill after another? Just say no!
Ron, you’re right, too.
Yes - the MSM is like a heat seeking missile only in the case of the MSM, it is seeking irrelevance.
I can’t undersstand why so few talented bloggers have been hired by MSM for opinion roles. Instead they go to Beltway insiders and other media notables like Santorum, Smerconish and I predict Governor Rendell will be hired when he leaves office.
New ideas and new voices are what the people want.
