Half Right

The Enquirer apparently got half the story right. From the Washington Post:
John Edwards has admitted that he had an extramarital affair with a former videographer in his presidential campaign and repeatedly lied about it.
In an interview airing tonight on ABC’s “Nightline,” the former North Carolina senator and Democratic presidential contender acknowledged the affair, which came during a campaign in which he stressed the importance of family and in which his wife, Elizabeth, who suffers from an incurable form of cancer, played a prominent role.
What does this mean? Probably that he’s still in contention for VP.
Other than that, this is between him and Elizabeth. This isn’t all that uncommon for even loving couples dealing with the strain of cancer:
Edwards said he told his wife, Elizabeth, and others in his family about the affair in 2006.
Edwards made a point of telling Woodruff that his wife’s cancer was in remission when he began the affair with Hunter. Elizabeth Edwards has since been diagnosed with an incurable form of the disease.
