Stupak to Retire

He says he’s worn out from the long health care fight.

Personally, I think he was freaked out by just how viciously his “pro-life” buddies turned on him and said, “screw this.” I’ve seen it happen before. As one prominent “pro-life” state politician told me, “Nothing is ever enough for these people. Nothing.”

His crime against life? He was under attack for taking his learning-disabled kid out of Catholic school and putting him in public school to get him the services he needed.

No doubt, when that kid is old enough, the same christianists will send him to a fake prom.

  2. How can they be “pro-life” and pro-war? Don’t wars kill people? The selective (non) reasoning of Christians is astounding to me. They reach into the old testament when it suits their whims, but they have yet to stone even one of a plethora of adulterers in the Republican camp.

More power to Stupak for moving on with his life and doing what’s best for his kids.
