I was talking to someone who works in the salon where I get my haircut about the difference between letting circumstances (i.e. pregnancy) dictate your future – as opposed to actually choosing what you want for your life.
“Yeah, but they really make you feel like you’re a bad person if you want to have an abortion,” she said.
I told her I didn’t believe that. “As far as I’m concerned, pregnancy is like leaving a car with the engine running. There’s nobody at the wheel until birth, and if that person doesn’t get behind the wheel this time, they will some other time.”
I hope she listened. Because her boyfriend’s pushing her to move in, and she said he’s too immature, she’s not ready.
