Poor BP. “Blame the Scots!” Right.
The part that intrigues me is that somehow it is more infuriating that the lives of people who died in a bomb explosion are being traded for oil than it is having the lives of soldiers being blown up by roadside bombs for oil.
Funny, huh.
It becomes very difficult to get upset with BP, if one is to believe that Abdelbaset Ali Mohmet al-Megrahi was probably a willing/unwilling patsy provided by Libyans as a political chip. If reasonable people have difficulty believing the guilt and not be convinced at all by the evidence provided, it would follow that all those who acted for early release were, in effect, admitting to the shoddy nature of the procedure that provided the sacrifice of a Libyan intelligence officer. In this context what BP alleged to have done is just more bullshit on top of the incredibly cynical resolution to Lockerbee. Now he’s outliving his doctor prescribed life sentence, which makes the thing even more ridiculous.
