Voters casting a ballot in the governor’s race said they would rather vote for an insider who knows how to get things done over an outsider who wants to shake things up, according to the first wave of exit polling.
The exit poll was conducted at 50 polling places across the state for The Bee and other media outlets by Edison Research. The figures, which include interviews with vote-by-mail voters, could change throughout the afternoon as more voters complete surveys.
