Snow

It hasn’t started yet, although the teevee informs me it’s just south of the city and should be here any minute. I have an almost overwhelming compulsion to go to the supermarket, even though I don’t actually need anything.

UPDATE: Okay, I gave in. Although the parking lot was more packed than I’d ever seen it, the Shop-Rite had every cashier lane open and things moved pretty quickly. I decided I’d make some Blizzard Beef Stew for dinner — perfect for blizzard force winds, yes? “I thought if I got here early, no one would be up yet,” the lady behind me in line good-naturedly complained. Hah.

As my nana used to say, “I couldn’t plan to move that piece of paper from here to there without something happening.”

  1. I was napping on the couch and when I got up a few minutes ago the snow had begun. There are a few things I need but the grocery store is like a few hundred yards from my building.

  2. i think it’s going to be a bust. maybe it’s too many years of Philadelphia weather hysteria, maybe it’s b/c I’m a new englander and it takes a lot to scare me, but I predict this isn’t going to be any kind of snow emergency.
