1. Well, hmm, Rushdie raises some good points about the behavior of some factions within the Pakistani government. Also, he seems to be calling more for some kind of sanction to try to change the behavior, rather than military violence.

   I don’t normally think of Rushdie as a warmonger.

2. The real warmongers will use Rushdie as an excuse.

3. The PNAC boys laugh t the liberal artists.
   Plus, the Pakis have The Bomb.
   The Bomb changes everything.

4. What is “the comity of nations”?
