I checked to see whether there was one scheduled for San Jose.
There was.
Yay!!!!
But then I saw that it was planned for a park in a residential area, rather than a prominent downtown location (where the Tea Party gathered earlier this year), or at the City Hall plaza, where the politicians would see it.
Not very effective, I’m afraid.
That’s what everyone said about the first one, since it’s several blocks from Wall Street.
Yeah, but it’s still in a prominent location on lower Broadway, and its definitely in the financial district, no more than a 5 minute walk from Wall St. itself. Check out the photo in Brendan’s post showing the arrogant champagne drinkers — the banksters are close enough to take pictures with teensy cameras.
The San Jose location is nowhere, believe me.
OK, so here’s the full story:
They originally picked a very good location, but there’s a half-marathon going on downtown that day. That made the best sites unavailable, so they had to find a back-up.
I hate those &%#$@ urban marathons — all they do is screw up mobility for normal people.
In any case, my wife and I will be there with bells on.
