Whoa! Overcharging much there?
But Obama and all but a few Congress Critters voted for a law which presaged this kind of rejection of First Amendment rights. Actually, Obama signed legislation which extended and cemented BushBoy’s actions to keep protesters at bay and out of sight. And, as we now know for sure, the WH worked closely with mayors and governors to totally shut down Occupy locations all over the nation.
Obama is not a big protector of the Bill of Rights, but, damn, he sure does love those Unitary Executive “rights” and powers!
Amid so much else, I’d sorta forgotten about this bit of Obama/Dems/Repubs’ undermining of our civil liberties.
Way to go, Big O, aka Big Zero of a Dem prez.
If the protester is arrested on the public sidewalk adjoining the bank it is a BIG deal. When he enters the bank to make a rucus he is a trespasser. Don’t think for a moment that this guy wasn’t aware that his sign was threatening. That’s why he went inside. He has no rights of picketting inside that bank and the First Amendment does not apply. The prosecutor will reduce the charge to disorderly or trespass and this becomes a non-story.
