A Republican state senator stunned her colleagues Wednesday during a discussion on poverty when she talked about blacks eating chicken and Mexicans eating vegetables until they move to the United States…
“When you look at life expectancy, there are problems in the black race,” Marble said. “Sickle-cell anemia is something that comes up. Diabetes is something that’s prevalent in the genetic makeup, and you just can’t help it… Although I’ve got to say, I’ve never had better barbecue and better chicken and ate better in my life than when you go down South and you, I mean, I love it. Everybody loves it.”
Marble also said Mexicans eat healthfully until they immigrate to America.
The remarks were made during a meeting of the Colorado Economic Opportunity Poverty Reduction Task Force last Wednesday.
I have really never heard BBQ and fried chicken as being “gateway foods” to poverty.

So, George Zimmerman goes to the factory that manufactured the gun used in the Trayvon Martin shooting to inquire about purchasing a shotgun…
Zimmerman went to Kel-Tec in Cocoa, Florida … a gun manufacturing company. We’re told he was asking questions about the legality of buying a shotgun — specifically, the Kel-Tec KSG.
The gun in question is a tactical shotgun, often used for home defense. It holds 12 rounds of 12 gauge shells.
We’re told the owner’s son took Zimmerman on a tour of the grounds, including the area where the firearms are assembled.
Well, isn’t that quaint? A grand tour and some publicity.
Well, maybe some think the perceptions of this might not be so great…
“We understand how George visiting the factory that produces the gun used to shoot Trayvon Martin is seen as inappropriate,” Shawn Vincent, spokesman for Zimmerman’s lawyer Mark O’Mara, told Reuters on Friday.

The social media page of the Patriot Nation does not allow racist or offensive slurs on its page. Really? In post dated August 21st, the moderator of the page posted this photo….
Followed by this statement…

Sure, buddy. ***Giggle*** Gimme a break.
Then, there is an entire string of comments peppered with all kinds of slurs and dog whistles.
If there is a comment calling out the use of slurs, there is a uniform cry from the Tea Party people, “There you go, playing the race card. Whiner.” Some Tea Party folks will tell you that some of their best friends are black or something like that, so it is not possible to be a racist.
Because if the “n word” isn’t used, it’s not racist. That’s how they roll.
To the Tea Party the ” n word” is “nut.”
