Just one more case of corporate America shiting on the floor after lining its pockets with our tax dollars and then pointing at the dog. So let’s talk about another Republican lie shall we? The Republicans and their Libertarian and T-bag ass-kissing friends claim that our $17 trillion dollar debt is going to bankrupt the country. So we must cut spending. Here are the facts. During and after WWII our debt to GDP percentage exceeded 100%. The country did not go bankrupt. We reduced the D/GDP percentage by employing everybody who wanted a job, and taxing the top 20% at a rate of more than 60%. So in 1974 the D/GDP percentage stood at 38%. Today our debt to GDP percentage is about 87%. So what are we doing to correct that? Well, since Reagan (1980) we’ve thrown milions of people out of work, shipped millions of our jobs overseas, and reduced taxes on the upper 20% to an effective rate of 19%. In other words the people screaming the loudest about our debt are the very people who caused the debt in the first place by screwing the rest of us. The Republicans love to blame the victims. F***’em all.
so…Repubs DID build it!
De-bar all 47 contractors from future government contracts until the system performs. You will be amazed how fast this gets fixed!
And there would be little incentive to have the government health care purchasing system work well, right?
Oh, my. What a clusterfuck, as Lambert would say over at Correntewire.com.
You can’t buff a turd. healthcare.gov would have been a piece of shit even if had been up to spec on day one.
Just lower the Medicare eligibility age to 0. Problem solved. No system to build. No contractors to pay.
Great link, though.
One of the contractors who fucked it up does the Medicare system, so maybe not.
