Temple University must be a Leftist institution of higher learning which hates the coal industry. According to recent polls the “middle” in the U.S. leans more to the Left than it ever has. Especially on social issues. On economic issues the “middle” still leans right. Although the “middle” is now more amenable to an open debate about replacing Capitalism with a more Leftist economic system. In Temple’s case installing solar power appears to be an economic decision with social overtones. In any case Temple moved decidedly Left and away from the Capitalist for-profit economic model by going solar. Betcha issues about ideology never came up.
