Unless your intention is to get rid of the Bill of Rights, and in particular the 2nd Amendment, the “people” have a “right to keep and bear arms.” That’s a pretty clear statement. The argument over what a “well regulated militia” means is bankrupt. “We the people” can determine that any gun owner is a part of a broader “well regulated militia.” 51-49. That doesn’t mean that guns can’t be made safer and less random. You will never make guns illegal anymore than you can make alcohol illegal. Emotional reasoning aside, this poor man lost a child, there comes the question of exploitation. By the media and by paid political propagandists like the NRA.
