While everyone is being distracted by the games politicians play Rome continues to burn.
Last week Trump sent a letter to Pelosi informing her that he was sending 80 combat troops to the Democratic Republic of Congo to “protect US assets from possible violent demonstrations.” Presumably these troops were sent to protect the embassy, but who knows with Trump in charge? How long will they remain in the DRC?
In addition Mike Pompeo met with the president of Columbia to discuss US/Columbia (military) intervention into Venezuela.
