  1. Here in California, we confiscate the guns of convicted domestic abusers, and last I checked it was tens of thousands of guns and hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition.
    Now, that’s only for convicted abusers, and by the time they’re convicted it’s often too late, but they are trying out a program where they can be reported as a danger and investigated for potential confiscation, which sounds likely to be poorly implemented and successfully challenged in court, but we’ll wait and see what happens with it.
