The printer chronicles

HP printers are challenging, I know. But they’re what I can afford. I bought a new HP printer back during the Black Friday sales, but only got around to trying to set it up in the past month or so. My son, who does this for a living (only with Macs), was here Sunday and tried for about an hour before he gave up.

I tried yesterday morning for about an hour, but every time I would try to delete the drivers and reinstall, it wouldn’t let me do it. I kept getting a message that the printer was in use. (It wasn’t.)

Finally, I called the HP tech line and got through right away. (Good omen…) It took about 15 minutes — the tech signed onto remote control of my computer and found there was a Windows 10 glitch she had to fix. And then it worked!

The reason I was so focused on getting it to work was, I lost the envelope I keep my insurance card and registration in, and I don’t want to drive around without it. It’s all settled now.

I am so happy.
