Just yesterday, the “enemy of the people” or at least 158 of them in the House, voted against the Violence Against Women Act because the NRA didn’t like the bill.
The bill now moves to the Senate where there is strong Republican opposition to it.
The bill’s supporters want a provision in the law that disallows men or women who have a history of violence against their spouses from owning a firearm.
Sounds reasonable.
Not to the NRA, who would like to see every man, woman and child in America own a gun whether they’re nuts or not. (Keep those sales going.)
