Do you suppose that Trump has figured out yet that Bolton, Pompeo and Pence are part of the “deep state” that he keeps railing against?
We know that he’s already figured out that Congress is worthless most of the time.
My congresswoman, Barbara Lee, was the only one to vote against the AUMF, and has been on a crusade to repeal it ever since.
Last year she got the repeal into an appropriations bill in committee, but Ryan stripped it out before it could get a vote in the full house.
This time it got that vote and passed, so we get to watch as McConnell gives Trump a blank check for endless wars.
We should be able to beat him for that in 2020.
I really hope we at least try.
