FDA ignored warnings about asbestos contamination in talc products …

This has been going on for decades.

Over the past 50 years, the FDA has relied upon–and often deferred to–industry even as outside experts and consumers repeatedly raised serious health concerns about talc powders and cosmetics, a Reuters investigation found.

Again and again since at least the 1970s, the agency has downplayed the risk of asbestos contamination and declined to issue warnings or impose safety standards, according to documents produced in court proceedings and in response to public records requests.

  1. Then there’s this.

The atmosphere of the earth is becoming toxic and the planet is warming at an alarming rate.

It was reported yesterday that last month the US hit a major milestone by exporting more crude oil then it imported for the first time in 70 years.

Jimmy Carter began our march toward energy independence in the ’70’s by subsidizing renewable energy and pushing conservation.
Bush changed all of that in 2006 by going all-in on fracking.
Obama expanded fracking and here we are celebrating a dying planet but huge crude oil exports.

Good job and congratulations to Big Oil and our corrupt, near-sighted politicians for making this sad day possible.
