Children are our most valuable resource, but we’ve systematically destroyed the economy of our villages.

I agree with Krugman about this. Instead of tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy, we should be spending the money we borrow on infrastructure and programs that support child welfare and nutrition.
Unlike tax cuts, those programs actually do pay for themselves in the long run.
