This announcement was timed to allow Trump to shore up his support with his idiot, suicidal base going into 2020.
His base believes that climate change is a hoax perpetrated by either the Democrats or the Chinese and his with drawl from the treaty proves them right.
But Trump doesn’t always succeed in getting what he wants.
For example the ongoing revolution in Iraq has entered its final phase.
Although there were growing street demonstrations in Iraq protesting government corruption, it wasn’t until thousands of US troops in northern Syria relocated to northern Iraq a month ago that the revolution began in earnest.
Recall that Trump told the military to ship all of the troops leaving Syria back to the US.
The military said “no” and sent those heavily armed and well equipped troops into northern Iraq instead.
(The word on the street amongst the Iraqi protesters was that the US intended to reoccupy Iraq.)
The revolutionaries in Iraq want the entire corrupt political class to retire from politics.
They want ALL US troops to leave the country.
They want Iran to remain passive and patient.
They want every political party to be dissolved and every politician and political appointee to find a new occupation.
The people want a secular society not dominated by any religious faction. Not Shiite, not Sunni, not Christian, not Jew, not Zeroastrian, not nobody.
The interesting part about both of the revolutions now taking place in Iraq and in Lebanon is that they are leaderless.
“We the people….” in the purest sense.
