Exxon CEO Stranded on Iceberg Off Greenland’s Coast…

The Daily Currant :

The CEO of oil giant ExxonMobil is stranded off the coast of Greenland after a company exploration ship hit an iceberg.

According to a press release, Rex Tillerson was on the ship to check up on the development of the firm’s Disko Bay oil field when the vessel unexpectedly ran into one of the increasing number of icebergs floating in the area.

Within an hour the exploration ship had sunk, and its fifteen passengers and crew climbed onto the ice where they are waiting to be rescued. Authorities in Greenland say they lack the capability to mount a such an operation, and are appealing to nearby Canada for help.

  1. Who cares? Lately people who have for years been identified as liberals and or progressives are claiming that Obama is a bona fide liberal. They also say that his police state (NSA) tactics would be used by any “real” liberal in response to a dangerous and insecure world. Their nonsense argument claims that a liberal would always use the power of the state to assure the safety and security of its citizens. They cap their ridiculous argument off by stating that what Obama’s NSA is doing may not be constitutional, but it’s legal. You’ve got to be kidding. These sound like the same irrational rationalizations used by the Nazis’ to justify to the German people the dictatorship of Hitler. And to explain how his Gestapo (NSA) was a legal, although unconstitutional, peacekeeping organization set up to keep the German people safe and secure. We have clearly done through the looking glass folks.

  2. Rescue? Sorry, we’re practicing austerity. The budget for rescue services got cut years ago.
