Me and the southern belle

I saw this go past my Twitter stream during the Taney game last night and just had to respond:

She describes herself as “Christian, wife, mom, Aggie, conservative, Aggie Mom. Lover of family, Texas Country Music, good friends, & a good drink.”

I couldn’t help but respond:

She answers:

And by “some,” I guess she means… well, I think we can guess.

I think she meant, “I guess y’all don’t…. bitch.”

I’m so glad I don’t live in Texas.

  1. Have you ever spent much time in western PA? Like all religious zealots this woman has been well indoctrinated by the male dominated organizational structure that’s been in place for a thousand years. Al Qaeda and Isis are both off shoots of Wahhabism. And Orthodox Jews force their women to sit up in the balcony in silence during Temple. But who cares what people think or believe as long as their thoughts and beliefs do no one any physical harm?

  2. I should confess that I’ve always been more of an observer than a participant in Texas Womanhood: the spirit was willing but I was declared ineligible on grounds of size early. You can’t be six feet tall and cute, both. I think I was first named captain of the basketball team when I was four and that’s what I’ve been ever since.

Women, it was painfully clear, weren’t going to be allowed to use their brains and I certainly wanted to use mine.

  3. A cheery female misogynist; maybe she can get a job at Fox News. Presuming she’s allowed to work.

  4. OTOH, when MLB players try to hit fast-pitch, they have a hard time. Google Jenny Finch….

  5. “Because boys are boys.”
    What a pinhead!

We should let Texas secede — everyone would be better off.
