Cop arrested for directing child sex abuse

Do you suppose that the ability to do whatever they want without accountability has anything to do with cops pursuing even more anti-social thrills? I have to think it’s a factor:

Back in February 2013, NYPD Sergeant Alberto Randazzo was charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting sexual performance by a child, and possessing a sexual performance by a child. Then, a year later, while he was out on bail for those charges, he was caughtdownloading 30 clips of child pornography to his computer. This guy is a complete monster, huh?

Now the Daily News reports that cops have located and charged the Colorado woman Randazzo was originally accused of plotting with over Skype to molest her then-1-year-old child. Keira Norton, unable to come up with the $100,000 bail, is being held at Rikers.

According to the News:

The videos show Norton carrying out verbal instructions from Randazzo to perform sex acts on the baby, NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau Sgt. Christopher Sharpe states in the complaint.

Scott Walker must really be desperate:

Two former high-level executives of Trek Bicycle claim that Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke was forced out as head of European operations for her family’s business 21 years ago — an allegation that Burke and the company denied, labeling it a last-minute smear campaign.

“I’m not saying she was incompetent,” said Tom Albers, former Trek chief operating officer who left the company in 1997. “Maybe this job was too big for her.”

Burke and Trek Bicycle called the claims outrageous, pointing out that the statements are being made by former Trek employees who had to leave the company, are both conservative and are airing them just six days out from Tuesday’s tight election.

FYI:

The person behind the accusations is Gary Ellerman, who was fired from Trek and is currently the chairman of the Jefferson County (Wisconsin) Republican Party. Ellerman is also known for running as a “fake Democrat” in a 2012 Wisconsin State Senate race. Tom Albers, also fired from Trek, later supported some of Ellerman’s accusations when interviewed.

You shouldn’t be:

Internet hactivist group “Anonymous” broke into the white supremacist website America Third Position (A3P) and found more than they bargained for. In the document dump that consisted of private forum messages, emails, organizational notes and other personal information, they found connections with former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul.

The documents revealed Paul held meetings with the group and regularly met with many A3P members, engaged in conference calls with their board of directors and participated in a “bridging tactic” between A3P and the Ron Paul Revolution. Not surprisingly, A3P is heavily involved in campaigning for Paul. Also revealed, Paul met with Nick Griffin, the leader of the British National Party — the UK fascist group with neo-Nazi roots.

Live Leaks reported:

“Other excerpts show A3P webmaster Jamie Kelso (whose email account was one hacked by the collective) coordinating meetings between Paul and other members of A3P such as corporate lawyer and chairman of the neo-Nazi group Paul (sic). ‘I’m going to go to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) with Bill Johnson,’ reads an email to an A3P member dated January 2011. ‘Bill and I will be meeting with Ron and Ran Paul. I have a teleconference call with Bill (and Ron Paul) tonight. Much more later. Things are starting to happen (thanks to folks like you).’ In another passage, Kelso, a former Scientologist and account owner of other German Nazi forums, wrote: “I’ll be at CPAC from Feb. 9 to Feb 12. I’ll send back reports to you from personal meetings with Ron Paul, newly-elected Senator Rand Paul and many others. It’ll be here on WhiteNewsNow, a place that is really starting to get interesting because of the presence of folks like you. Birds of a feather flock together, and we are really gathering some quality here.”’

Paul denies the connection. Paul also denied authoring a series of racist newsletters, despite confirmation from his staff that he signed off on every detail.

Liberty Medal Award 2014 Malala Yousafzai

What an amazing young woman:

Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani education campaigner shot by the Taliban, has donated $50,000 (nearly £31,000) towards the reconstruction of schools in Gaza.

The Nobel peace prize winner, speaking after receiving the World Children’s Prize for the rights of the child in Marienfred, Sweden, on Wednesday, said the money would be channelled through the United Nations relief agency UNRWA to help rebuild 65 schools in the Palestinian territory.

Malala, who now lives in the UK and has her own fund to help small-scale organisations in a number of countries, including Pakistan, told journalists that children in Gaza had suffered from conflicts and war. The money would help children get “quality education” and continue their life, knowing they were not alone and that people were supporting them, she said.

She is the first person to receive the children’s prize and the Nobel in the same year. The Sweden-based organisers of the children’s prize said millions of children around the world had voted for Malala.
