Let me begin by saying that I’m sorry, but……………….
“We” don’t send anybody to war. That would be the oligarchy who sends people to war.
Further the military is an all volunteer organization. Which means that anybody who joins the military does so of their own free will. They are not forced, coerced or in any way made to join the military. It’s their choice.
So I’m not all that moved when they complain about their military experiences after the fact.
Nobody who joins the military is unaware that they might get killed or maimed while trying to kill or maim some other human being in battle. If they are unaware of that fact then they’re just plain dumb.
If we stopped treating these people like hero’s and started treating them like the mercenaries that they are then maybe war would end.
Being part of the 1% who have served in the military that’s my 2 cents on this topic.
