WTF, Howard “Starbucks” Schultz?
1. Who is the person advising former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz to run for president as an independent?
— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) January 28, 2019
It's Steve Schmidt, John McCain's campaign manager in 2008
Schultz can't win but Schmidt can certainly make a lot of money
For all this said, it's unbelievably arrogant for Howard Schultz to think that "Howard Schultz, as an independent, on a platform of deficit reduction, for president" is the answer to any question that anybody has ever asked about anything. https://t.co/DpqqQIUpYn

The kicker of the NYT interview w Schultz is kind of telling. He just takes for granted that "a far-left progressive Democrat" would lose to Trump. In reality, in *every* trial heat, Trump loses to Bernie Sanders; in most, he loses to Elizabeth Warren. pic.twitter.com/r8BvIeY5hC

Schultz is convinced that “a far-left progressive Democrat” would lose to Trump.
If that’s the case then Schultz should back the candidacy of Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris is a law and order, corporatist who should be right up Schultz’s alley ideologically. The neo-liberals love her. Especially neo-liberal plutocrats.
Harris either officially announced her candidacy for president last night in Oakland or she will do so tonite on CNN at a townhall in Iowa.
Apparently Harris has been un-officially announcing her run for the presidency over the past two weeks in all of her on-air appearances?
But it’s more likely that her donors have had a tough time getting her candidacy off the ground, and so they need a couple of do-overs.
Kamala Harris has deep corporate pockets which this darling of the corporatists will need as she runs as the only legitimate Obama-like, neo-liberal candidate.
This is your candidate Mr. Schultz.
