“What do you have to lose,” Trump asked Black folks during his 2016 campaign.
Black folks who support Trump are an anomaly.
But pro-union workers who support Trump are a serious problem for the Democratic Party.
Clinton’s defeat in 2016 was due in large part to the rejection of her Neo-liberal policies by “working women and men.” (See Brexit and those 77,000 miracle votes.)
Of course the elephant in the room is the fact that a slice of Trumps voters are also Bernie voters, but they are not necessarily Warren voters.
Those voters will never vote for Neo-liberal Joes Biden, but they will vote for Bernie.
The question is “what do we have to lose” if we elect Bernie?
Well, we’ll lose Trump and every other Republican holding office for starters.
